John Madejski OBE

John Madejski OBE is owner and Chairman
of the Goodhead Group PLC, the parent
company of BGP and Stones. He has been
a shareholder in the business since the early
1980's.

John Madejski is also chairman of Reading
Football Club which he took over in 1990.
In 2006 Reading Football Club enjoyed an incredible season,
claiming a place in the FA Barclays Premiership, the first ever time
Reading have been in the English top flight.

Madejski started off in business when he launched Auto Trader
magazine in 1976, forming the publishing company, Hurst
Publishing Limited. Hurst Publishing was sold for £260m in 1998
and he was made lifetime President of the Trader Media Group.

Since then he has been involved in a variety of businesses and is
currently chairman and director of 18 companies worldwide. <back
